We organise wine and olive oil tastings for you in the Wine Cellars of Castles and Farms where you can take part in tours led by experts who will explain the characteristics of their wines and who will tell you the histories of their estates. These estates often have very rich and long histories of a glorious past. You can taste delicious snacks of typical local products like salami, cheeses, and "crostini", often made on the property, along with these prestigious wines and extraordinary olive oil.
Visits to the wine cellars of the Strada del vino
We offer a vitis to these sweet chain of hills, sll rich of untouched woods medieval borgs full of hostory and where life develops with human rithmes, a genuin and welcoming population, the fact of being near to the sea many times honoured by important presences.
All this well be the fram of your visit of winecellars where the most importantr wines in word are produces, to be matched of course to a fantastic gastronomy of the territory among the most tasty in Italy.
Visit to the wine cellars of Sassicaia
This special visit includes an explanation of the history of the farm and the grapes of the area, explanation of the thechnics used to obtain such wine, and the tastings of important wines such as Sassicaia and Gadalberto.
Here it is not possible to purchase wines.
The visits needs to be booked in advance and are usually on Tuesday afternoon; they are suspended during the harvest.
Visit to the Ornellaia wine cellars
This visit includes: visit of the vineyards, and tastings of wines: Le volte, Le Serre Nuove and Ornellaia.
It is not possible to purchase wines here.
The visits need to be booked in advance and are usually from Monday to Friday in the afternoon, exclusing the holidays.
Visit to the Cantine zona DOC Bolgheri
This visit lasts approx an hour and leads you thrugh the explansation of the history of the factories and of the grapes of the area, vinifications technique, and a tasting to finish.
In some cellars it is possible to purchase wines.
The visits need to be booked inadvance and are usually from Monday to Friday in the afternoon, exclusing the holidays.
